Breathwork session - Opening to the innate wisdom of the breath

Opening the body with the breath is a deeply restorative practice that balances and harmonizes the nervous system. Breath is the bridge between the conscious and the unconscious, and unconscious breathing habits can hold our body in patterns that deplete our vitality. When we invite intentional and gentle movement into the breathing spaces, we begin to release tension and return to more optimal breathing patterns often building vitality.

By opening to the innate wisdom that flows on the breath, we open our mind - body - spirit to the cosmic intelligence that supports us, to the vital essence that animates us. This practice is deeply soothing for the body, restores the mind and is fueled by the spirit.

Vital Breathwork is a gentle practice done on a massage table. You will be guided into different breathing movements that relax the physical apparatus of breathing including the diaphragm, the rib cage, the spine and the physical structures around the torso that support deep, full breaths.

We will respond to the breath and move with the breath to foster a rebalancing of the nervous system, quieting sympathetic overdrive or activating the sympathetic drive to be in balance with the parasympathetic aspect of the nervous system; the process restores balance which is a unique pattern for each individual. The nervous system is a well designed, multi-purpose physiologic apparatus and the ability to tone it to express organized, even responsiveness is a powerful outcome of breath work. Over time, you will notice a gentle restoration of your vitality and of your essential nature.
