Mindfulness Classes for School Age Kids

Creating Compassionate Cultures founded by Pam Cayton, brings mindfulness in the classroom into sharp, loving focus. Children are held in a container of gentle self-awareness, inspired to reflect, slow and breathe through life’s offerings. Through both explicit and implicit approaches, we aspire to inspire the self-reflective life. Cit Ananda continues this approach with thoughtful and intentional practices that help stabilize the mind over time.

Mindfulness education is about learning to pay attention to the inner landscape with centered awareness as life unfolds. Skills used for many years to quiet the mind have the potential to support us all to be more able to access inner clarity and a calmer approach to life. These ancient techniques, applied for centuries with enduring success, are now also substantiated by science and the constantly evolving fields of neuroscience, epigenetics and positive psychology. Though our understanding has grown, the repeatability and reliability of this way of cultivating the mind renders mindfulness a valuable tool for wellbeing.
