This poem feels like a natural extension from the previous post. It speaks to the work we humans are here to do as the sacred vessels of Love that we are. It touches that timeless question of what does it mean to be a human Being in this vast, unbounded universe.
Sacred Bridge
Before the dance of creation
when all that pulsed was Light
everything was the orb.
And the Light said,
“Go my children,
go and expand in all directions
and feel all that is.”
And so, it did.
Light beams radiated outward
fanning into Being everywhere.
And when they expanded
they felt new vibrations
giddy with the breadth of Being.
When the orb felt all the drifting children
it delighted.
Celebration was everywhere and constant.
Some Light beams explored further than others.
Consciousness loved this radiance.
It relished Being everywhere
all at once.
It loved Being.
Soon the Light at the farthest edges grew distant,
even dim.
Longing for these beams to come home and recharge
but finding their vibration so thin
the center of all celebrated
creating a bridge.
Inside this bridge was a piece of Itself.
The Heart of this bridge is made of the Light
the center of all,
that which is everywhere.
But this Light of the Heart
it was not drawn to explore
like the beams out so far and so wide.
Thus, Consciousness made a body,
a denser vehicle in which the radiant Heart would travel
gracing it with a way to reach those wayward explorers
far, far away, where the Light thinned
and movements were slower
denser, more solid.
And this body,
it would travel far and wide
carrying the sacred Heart.
When the body was made
and came into being human
dense was the form carrying the brilliant Light of God
at the centerless Heart of its Being.
And this human being became a magnet,
funneling the distant, dim, slowly vibrating beams of Light home.
Human beings are the miracle of Consciousness
the gateway home for aspects of Light
that have explored far from the Heart of Being.
Consciousness, knowing all and loving all,
built a sacred bridge
to usher the Light back into Itself.
We are the sacred bridge.
